Add your contacts — Go to Contacts → + New contact. Add the name, company, country, and phone number. You can also scan a business card (📷 Scan card) or import from Excel.

Start a discussion — Go to Discussions → + New discussion. Add the parties involved and the products you are discussing. Use discussions to track conversations before they become deals.

Promote to a deal — When a product in a discussion is agreed, open the discussion → click the product → Promote to deal. This creates a deal linked to the discussion.

Track milestones — Open a deal and tick off milestones as they complete (e.g. Contract signed, LC opened, Shipment made, Commission received).

Log communications — On any deal or discussion, use + Add note to log calls, emails, WhatsApp messages, and meetings with a date and channel.

Contacts
Scan business card — Take a photo or upload an image. AI extracts the name, company, phone, email, and country automatically.
Import from Excel — Download the template, fill it in, and upload. Duplicate names are skipped automatically.
Message a contact — Click a contact → Message button. Choose WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other app on your phone.
QR code — Open a contact → QR code button. Share your contact's details as a scannable vCard.
A discussion tracks a commodity conversation with one or more parties, covering one or more products.
Each product has a status: Discussing → Promoted (became a deal) or Dropped.
Set a follow-up date — it appears on the dashboard and turns red when overdue.
Use Priority (High / Medium / Low) to surface the most important discussions on your dashboard.
Share a discussion summary via WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or any app using the Share button.
Deals
Deals track a confirmed trade from agreement through to commission received.
Add buyers, sellers, and agents — each with their commission structure (% or fixed).
Milestone checklist tracks progress. Milestones can be customised in Settings.
Overdue deals (follow-up date passed) are highlighted in red on the dashboard and deals list.
View deals as a table or kanban board using the toggle in the top bar.
Send message (Follow-up)
Go to the envelope icon in the sidebar (or tap a contact's Message button).
Choose a contact, then select an existing discussion or send a new inquiry.
The message is pre-formatted with deal/product details. You can edit it before sending.
Tap Share via... to send through WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, email, or any app on your device.
Dashboard
Shows active deal count, pipeline value, open discussions, and overdue items at a glance.
High priority discussions and deals needing attention are surfaced automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Can multiple people use the same account?
Currently each account is a single-user workspace. Multi-user / team workspaces are planned for a future update. For now, share login credentials within your team if needed.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your data is stored in an isolated workspace — no other user or company can see it. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I use CommDesk on my phone?
Yes. Open commdesk.pages.dev in your phone browser, then use "Add to Home Screen" to install it as an app. On iPhone use Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android use Chrome → menu → Add to Home Screen.
How do I add milestones specific to my business?
Go to Settings → Deal milestones. You can rename, reorder, add, or remove milestones. Changes apply to all new deals. Existing deals keep their current milestones.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Go to Settings → Export deals (Excel), Export discussions (Excel), or Export all my data (JSON). The JSON export includes everything — contacts, deals, and discussions.
What currencies does CommDesk support?
Deal values and commissions are entered as plain numbers — you can use any currency. The app displays values as-is (e.g. enter 50000 for $50,000 or ₹50,000). Currency labels are not enforced.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → scroll to Danger zone → Delete my account & all data. This permanently removes all your contacts, deals, discussions, and your account. It cannot be undone.
The app is not loading or saving — what do I do?
Try the following: 1. Refresh the page (pull down on mobile) 2. Sign out and sign back in 3. Check your internet connection If the problem persists, email support@commdesk.app with a description of what happened.
